WESTBROOK UNIVERSITY (USA)

To all whom it may concern

Westbrook University is Licensed and Accredited.

The idea of centralized USA government control over higher education was rejected in favor of a system of voluntary regional accreditation organizations. Membership in any one of the several USA regional accrediting Association is strictly voluntary. The regional accrediting associations are privately owned and operated. They are not owned by the USA government or the USA Department of Education.

The main reason universities go for RA is to have Stanford loans, Pella Grants, etc. Westbrook as many other universities choose not to be part of the federal fund and for good reason. Westbrook went thru up to part 4 of 7 with RA (Regional Accreditation) to find out that they wanted our tuition to go to $485.00 per credit hour, that is not the mission statement of Westbrook ” Affordable education”. That does not take away the rigor nor quality of education. Westbrook follows the mandates of the US Dept of Ed and exceeds it. Being Distance Education, they are harder on Westbrook than an on-site university.

Westbrook has to maintain a working library of over 7000 volumes, maintain hard copy records for 50 years and the facility must exceed the standards of Professors and their Faculty development every 2 years while other schools only have to report every 5 years.

Westbrook will match any university for core curriculum. rigor, quality and proficiency.
