Psychosomatic Science the Naturopathic Way of Practicing
Psychosomatic means mind (psyche) and body (soma). A psychosomatic disorder is a disease which involves both mind and body. Some physical diseases are thought to be particularly prone to be made worse by mental factors such as stress and anxiety. Your current mental state can affect how bad a physical disease is at any given time.
75% of the diseases included in the list of a doctor are under the category of psychosomatic illnesses.
Hippocrates knew the influence of a certain mental state on the body (psychosomatic medicine).
Aristotle refers to the opposite situation, the effect of the body on the soul: ‘The mental functions are affected by the physical. And this is evident in cases of drunkenness and disease, where we can see the intense disturbance of mental functions resulting from physical disorders. ”
Aristotle concludes that the soul and body influence each other . When the mental state changes , changes with the physical when the physical state changes , alter her mental ‘ state ( soul About 805 a and 808 b).
Earliest when saying to someone that has ” psychosomatic problems ” meant , usually , he has nothing , or that he is sick by imagination or he has something indefinable , but similar to madness or even the weirdness.
The term ‘psychosomatic’ was undefined, like a miasma. But people who suffer from psychosomatic diseases by, they still have a wide variety of symptoms, from suffering and have a real and torturous existence.
Excessive specialization in medical science leads them to forget the fact that the physical and the mental or psychological part of man is directly interacting and interdependent. That is, the body part depends affected by the mental or psychological, but conversely, the mental or psychological part depends on and is influenced by the body.
